Long-time advocate of the silicon and germanium material system, Dr Giordano Scappucci leads the development of materials for semiconductor-based quantum computing at QuTech, TU Delft. The silicon and germanium-based quantum materials developed by Giordano’s team were enabled landmark experiments in the field of quantum information. These quantum materials are also used by many researchers overseas for the development of quantum technologies. Giordano published more than 100 journal articles and has given over 50 invited talks at international conferences, universities, research institutes and industry.
